Verbier, Montreux et Sion Festivals
While the Verbier and Montreux festivals are internationally renowned for their exceptional quality, eclectic programming, and joyful, passionate atmosphere, the Sion Festival is not to be overlooked! Moments of emotion that stay with you — a vibrant blend of beauty, energy, and life. La Tzoumaz Lodge is proud to be a supporter of both the Verbier and Sion festivals. While we offer the chalet to host a musician during the Verbier Festival, we also open it exceptionally for room-by-room bookings — a unique opportunity to enjoy the music-filled atmosphere of the region. Come and share in the joy of music!
Fondation Pierre Gianadda
The story of the Gianadda family — and the extraordinary journey of Léonard Gianadda — has been the subject of a moving film (available on the foundation’s website). The Pierre Gianadda Foundation hosts two major art exhibitions each year, along with around fifteen classical concerts — often featuring the celebrated Cecilia Bartoli. The foundation is surrounded by a sculpture park, perfect for a stroll during intermission. A must-see destination for art and music lovers, just a 20-minute drive from La Tzoumaz.
Sion & Martigny – History and Heritage
The castles of Tourbillon and Valère overlook the town of Sion, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, vineyards, and city below. The old town, steeped in Lombard heritage from the 15th century, invites exploration — with three museums worth visiting: the Valais Art Museum, the History Museum, and the Museum of Nature. Sion is a town full of charm, where history and culture meet. Martigny is an eclectic town, where the elegant old centre coexists with its Roman past — amphitheatre, military milestones, caldarium, and the Gallo-Roman Museum. Seventeen roundabouts throughout the town feature sculptures, and Léonard Gianadda’s museums add to the town’s cultural richness.
